Managing allowlists
Create and select named allowlists and manage their Visual Studio Code extensions.
Default and named allowlists
Every workspace starts with Default. Owners and administrators can create more allowlists from the allowlist picker by entering a name. Select a list in the picker before adding, importing, requesting, removing, or deploying extensions.
Each allowlist has separate entries and its own immutable feed identity and deployment token. The current workspace UI supports creating and selecting lists; it does not provide rename or delete controls.
Manage entries
Owners and administrators can add an extension, scan a publisher or organization, import a list, and remove an entry. Members use the request flow instead of adding directly.
An entry only reaches the published feed after automated vetting returns Allowed. Removing it excludes it from the next published feed. Coordinate that change with your Intune or MDM rollout because updating Allow does not itself reassign endpoint policies.
The trial supports one allowlist. Paid subscription quantity controls the workspace's allowlist limit.
